The Fujitsu-Siemens have just released a new external GPU called Amilo GraphicBooster. The fact is the GPU in an external box, with its own power supply, is connected to the laptop via the external PCI-E. It has an ATI Radeon HD 3870 with 512MB of memory. Most importantly, it is able to drive three displays at once.
