High-Speed Wireless Transfers Chip Over 60GHz RF
Do you like this story?
Look like we have a good team who can make a further step in to the progress of bringing you the 60GHz transfer signal. Georgia Electronic Design Center has announced a CMOS chip which is capable of transmitting 60 GHz digital RF signals. They said that it is the first 60GHz embedded chip for multimedia multi-gigabit wireless use. The chip unites 60GHz CMOS digital radio capability and multi-gigabit signal processing in an ultra-compact package.
The most remarkable high-speed feature is that it can transfer at speed of 15Gbps at a distance of 1 meter, 10Gbps at 2 meters, and 5Gbps at 5 meters. To make their work look more confident they have submitted it to ISO, ISO/IEC and ETSI standards and wait for approval.
