Have you ever made any gadgets by yourself? Okay, this cute little EnerJar is a Do-It-Yourself design gadget. It can display the energy usage of any household appliance as you see in the picture. For its best designs, Enerjar won the first prize in the recent Greener Gadgets Competition. Sadly, this product is not available on sale, but we can learn to make it by our own. Materials needed include four integrated circuit chips, 12 resistors, and an LED display, and a power supply salvaged from an unused cell phone charger.
